In August
of 2001, Amelang Partners, Inc. was awarded the design-build, leaseback,
65,000 square foot facility to house the Sandia Laboratories International
Programs. The building is constructed for Sandia National Laboratories,
which is funded by the Department of Energy and is located in Albuquerque,
New Mexico. The building is the first building to be constructed in the
newly established Sandia Science and Technology Park, located near
Kirkland Air Force Base and Sandia National Laboratories facilities.
The International Programs Building provides a neutral meeting ground for
government representatives to meet with military and policy experts of
foreign governments as well as providing a working environment to further
develop technology in aiding the non proliferation of global nuclear
weapons and materials.
